A new West Fresno health center is now open. It serves residents in one of Fresno’s most medically underserved areas.
United Health Centers began seeing patients here in November 2025. The official grand opening happened on Friday.
“We’ve been operating in West Fresno since last November,” said Kelly Garzon, Director of Communications. “This area lacks healthcare access. So placing a center near so many homes is ideal.”
The clinic spans over 10,000 square feet. It offers medical care, dental services, women’s health, and x-rays—all under one roof.
“Many people need to see a doctor,” Garzon said. “But they often can’t find care—or don’t know where to start.”
Healthcare costs are rising nationwide. Yet this West Fresno health center welcomes everyone—insured or not.
“We accept patients with or without insurance,” Garzon explained. “We also have an in-house enrollment team. If you arrive uninsured, they’ll help you apply on the spot.”
For those who remain uninsured, the center uses a sliding fee scale based on income. No one gets turned away because they can’t pay.
This local effort comes during uncertain times. By January 2026, about 22 million people had signed up for Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans. That’s down from 24 million in 2025.
The House recently passed a bill to extend ACA subsidies for three years. But the Senate remains divided.
Despite the uncertainty, United Health Centers stays focused. “Our mission is clear,” Garzon said. “Provide quality care—no matter someone’s ability to pay.”
By embedding itself in the community, the center does more than treat illness. It offers education, prevention, and support—all in one place.
For west central Fresno residents, that help is now just around the corner.
